Feng Shui application, Qi flow – A talk

Feng Shui application, Qi flow – A talk

I recently conducted a talk about Fengshui and its application to bring about Harmony and Balance at Anantara resorts, The Palm, Dubai.

I was overwhelmed by the energy and enthusiasm of the participants on a Friday ( weekend) morning.

More than that the best part of the talk  was the Q&A session reflecting the correct understanding of the subject by the audience. The audience were from different walks of life and various nationalities.  A universal truth was revealed , “We all want to improve our lives and any tool which helps us achieve it, is heard and applied”.

We all want to make those small changes in life to bring peace and harmony, even if the change is as small as?

Classical fengshui, probably is the most valuable hidden treasures. This science is being  applied successfully for thousands of years. Classical Fengshui has lost some of its authenticity by the new age Fengshui, where items have become more important and everything is fengshuized,

The concept of Qi ( Energy ) flow defines the applicability of fengshui in our lives. Understanding of the Qi in our surroundings and tapping into its flow is paramount for a successful result.

Four positive energies influence different aspects in our lives: Success while working, good relationships, good health and self cultivation.

When applying fengshui the three most factors are:

LOCATION … DIRECTION…  TIMING.

In our homes, depending on which direction it faces , the QI flow sets in. Different locations will have different types of energies. It is the endeavor to utilize the sectors were the positive energies are present. Ex: A house facing the North must utilize the SE, E, S, and N sectors of the house

Facing different directions changes our affinity to these energies  at any particular time.Eg:  A person born in 1970 should make an effort to have his working desk facing the South and his bed towards the North.

These  basic tools are used to tap into the positive Qi around us.

The audience were delighted  with these simple tools which they can use.

Do We Need Fengshui?

Do we really need Fengshui?

We all love living our lives in the best of spirits. But once in a while, for no particular reason, we feel a bit low. An unwarranted argument occurs. We fail to put in that extra effort we normally do. Miss that opportunity. Fengshui may give you the answers.

But WHY? What do you NEED? When will that window of opportunity open?

Fengshui Basics Chinese Metaphysics can help us answer these questions. Feng Shui is part of Chinese Metaphysics. It’s a science and an art. It’s a study of the land. Understanding the Qi (cosmic energies) prevalent. We can use the positive aspects of Qi to improve our living and succeed in our life goals.

Landforms around us i.e. the mountains, rivers, lakes define the type of Qi(Chee) flowing. This Qi has been over the years influenced by the passing planets in the skies above. Even man made structures like roads, buildings effect the way the Qi flows. Every building or a home you stay in, is influenced by this  energy. Every person is effected differently by the prevalent Qi. His receptiveness is determined by his date of birth (GUA).

One of the important factors determining the type of Qi is time. Qi is dynamic and changes constantly. No person or property is continuously lucky(positive QI) or unlucky(negative Qi). We could use Feng Shui to understand how the Qi will effect us in the coming years or months. Knowledge is power.

There is a myth:

“ I don’t believe in Feng shui so it will not work for me”.

How primitive!

Qi is going to be present and it’s up to you how you empower yourself with this knowledge to optimize your opportunities, wealth, and potential in life.

A Fengshui practitioner would assess the QI not only by looking at the environment but also by using complex formulas and determine the quality and flow of the Qi required to achieve the desired objective.
